Ubuntu Linux 7.10

Dell Color Laser 3100CN

  1. Download Dell_3100cn.ppd to your computer
  2. Click "System" → "Administration" → "Printing"
  3. Double Click "New Printer"
  4. Click "Network Printer"
  5. Choose "HP Jetdirect"
  6. Enter lj4.nceas.ucsb.edu as the address of the printer
  7. Choose "Install Driver..." and select the previously downloaded Dell_3100cn.ppd as the driver file
  8. Select "Laser Printer 3100cn v3015.102 PS"
  9. Name the printer and click Apply
