Windows XP
The following instructions allow you to access files on your shared drive (homes) from a remote location (secure FTP).
WinSCP download here
1. Start WinSCP. Enter the servername, your username, and password:
2. If you are prompted with a key warning, say "Yes".
3. You are now connected. You can drag files to and from WinSCP like any other file folder in Windows.
Notes:
- Use Ctrl-Alt-H to show or hide hidden files
- If you see two panes, and want to switch to the one pane view shown above, go to View → Preferences → Interface → Explorer-like and restart WinSCP
OS X
Cyberduck
1. Start Cyberduck, click File → Open Connection... if needed.
2. Enter servername, username, and password. Choose SFTP for the protocol.
3. Click Connect when finished.
Fugu
1. Start Fugu. Enter the servername and your username:
2. If you are prompted with a key warning, say "Yes".
3. Enter your password
4. You are now connected. You can drag files to and from Fugu like any other file folder in OS X.
Linux (Gnome)
gFTP
Enter the server name, your username and password, choose SSH2, and click the icon of the 2 computers at the top left of the screen to connect.
Linux (KDE)
Konqueror
Open Konqueror and in the address bar enter your user name and the server name using fish://
