Temporary Network Storage

The temporary network storage is intended for short-term storage of data and exchanging files via the network. Use the network storage like a regular folder/directory, e.g. drop and drag files, directly open, edit, delete files. Please keep in mind that this storage is accessable to anybody who knows the visitor's password. Data are not protected against reading, copying or deleting.

Windows (XP, 2000)

  • 1. Go to My Computer
  • 2. Type in the Address bar: \\zeus\visitor and hit Enter
  • 3. (If being asked) enter as User name visitor and as Password the visitor's password, click OK

Mac OS X

  • 1. On the Finder menu bar, click Go, then Connect to Server..
  • 2. Type in the server name smb://zeus/visitor
  • 3. Click OK, enter as Name visitor and as Password the visitor's password, click OK again
