Space
- Open area, foot traffic

- 20 seats in the standard setup (couches and chairs)
- We can include an extra 15 stackable chairs from the 1st floor Flex Space (located behind the classroom).

Technology
- Wi-Fi
- 90” TV & remote control
- Dedicate desktop computer and a laptop - can be used for video conferencing, as a presentation computer or as a regular workstation
- The desktop (a Mac mini) is situated behind the TV and connected to input HDMI 1. The wireless keyboard and mouse for it are placed on the round table.
- The laptop (a 15” MacBook Pro) is stting on a mobile stand next to the central pillar.
- Audio/video setup: Meeting Owl Pro (USB-C speakerphone with a 360-degree video camera), connected to the Mac mini
Ensure that the keyboard and mouse are fully charged for any forthcoming events
Coffee Klatch or Roundtable with Zoom
- Use the remote control to turn on the TV
- Use the keyboard or mouse to wake up the Mac mini. It can take up to 10 seconds for the TV to display an image.
- If the TV screen stays dark, the Mac mini might have been turned off or the input is not on HDMI 1 (Mac mini).
- If you are logged out, log in to the user Conferencing. The password is on the label on the TV.
- Start the Zoom session on the Mac mini from the link on the desktop labeled Coffee Klatch.webloc or Roundtable.webloc
- Turn on the camera in Zoom and test the audio with Zoom’s built-in controls. Adjust the volume on the Owl or the keyboard, if necessary
- We usually use Gallery View and show Participants and Chat on the right side in the same Zoom window
- Additional step for the Roundtable: Position the second stand in the center of the couch seating area and set the Owl on it.
Connecting your own laptop
- Use the remote control to turn on the TV
- Set the input to HDMI 2 (HDMI Cable)
- Retrieve the HDMI cable from behind the TV and connect it to your laptop. Use the USB-C adapter if required.
