The temporary network storage is intended for short-term storage of data and exchanging files via the network, and has been already set up for you on your NCEAS provided computer. Use the network storage like a regular folder/directory, e.g. drop and drag files, directly open, edit, delete files. Use the visitor credentials to log in. Please keep in mind that these credentials are broadly known. Data are backed up nightly.


  • Right-click Computer → Map Network drive…
  • Choose any drive letter and type into Folder \\jupiter\visitor and click Finish

Mac OS X

  • On the Finder menu bar, click Go, then Connect to Server…
  • Type in the Server address:
